FY24 Military Fellows

Jack Perreault

Jack Perreault

Jack Perreault is a U.S. Army 2nd Lieutenant, currently pursuing a Master’s in Applied Data Analytics at Boston University. He holds a B.S. in Applied Statistics and Data Science from West Point.

Jack is working as a military fellow for MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s SOCOM Ignite Program. His role focuses on the utilization of computer vision capabilities to automate the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Card, to efficiently provide battlefield treatment reports to higher echelons of care. This technology can assist in streamlining critical casualty information, as well as minimizing crucial time spent on manually documenting treatments. Prior to joining Lincoln Laboratory, Jack researched the effects of incorporating multiple modalities of data in object classification, as well as was a 4-year member of West Point’s Track and Field program.

FY23 Military Fellows

Trevor Powers

Trevor Powers

Trevor Powers is a U.S. Army 2nd Lieutenant and graduate from the United States Military Academy. As an undergraduate at West Point, Trevor explored his passion for technology and ethics. In 2019, he presented research at Oxford University on the programmability of moral decision-making algorithms into autonomous systems. Trevor continued his work in autonomous systems by researching reward functions in robots in adversarial environments exhibiting Q-Learning, later publishing this research through IEEE. On his undergraduate capstone, Trevor served as the computer vision lead, developing UAS-mounted classifiers to detect forces on the battlefield in real time. At Lincoln Laboratory, Trevor will continue his research in computer vision by partnering with SOCOM to develop classifiers for combat medics, and simultaneously pursue a Masters of Science from Northeastern University in Artificial Intelligence. After completing his Masters degree, Trevor will continue his Army career at Fort Gordan to be trained as a cyber officer.
